Fall Dry/Dropper Fishing

As is often the case, summer’s low, clear, water lasted well into fall this year and we enjoyed a run of great fishing using a dry fly with a nymph suspended below it. Our rig typically consists of a large, high-floating terrestrial pattern teamed with a small beadhead nymph. Most fish take the nymph, but every day there are several exciting dry fly eats to keep the angler on their toes! Pleasant weather, willing fish and few other people on the water make fall a wonderful time to fish.
